While I do not bill insurance directly, as an out of network provider I am able to offer a SuperBill for you to take advantage of your out of network benefits. Many of my clients are able to be reimbursed for the money they spend on therapy. A SuperBill is a detailed receipt that includes the date of service, the fee you paid, the procedural code, and the diagnostic code. If you would like to see about possible reimbursement, I would recommend you call your insurance company and ask them the following questions so that you understand your out of network benefits for therapy:
- If I submit a SuperBill, will you reimburse me for therapy costs?
- If so, what is the turn-around time and at what percentage will you reimburse me?
- Do I have a deductible that needs to be met first?
Payment is collected in the form of any major credit card or debit card. Many clients find it helpful to keep a card on file for me to charge at the end of each session. If this works well for you, I will have a form for you to fill out at the first session. If you have a Health Savings Account or Flex Spending Account, that can be accepted as well. Or, I can provide detailed receipts (called SuperBills) for you to show your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, I will need to charge the cancellation fee. However, if we are able to reschedule for a different time during the same week that matches both of our availabilities, I am happy to waive the cancellation fee for you and we can just reschedule instead!
